英文摘要 | This paper explores the effects of the attached sensor mass on the shifting of natural frequencies in the beam-vibration problems. Theoretical predictions of the shifting of natural frequencies, using the orthogonal propetry of the problem, are derived. The attached sensor mass can affect the natural frequencies of the system in different ways depending on its location and size. The numerical values of the predicted natural frequencies are compared to the experimental results in order to show their close agreements. While we study the cantilever-beam problem in this paper, the method is not necessary to be limited to this special application. |
