中文摘要 | 灌模模擬解析是鑄造流路系統設計的一種重要工具,有一套稱為MAC及SOLA-VOF的 計算流體力學技術已被證明可成功地模擬鑄造充填過程融熔金屬之流動模式,此種數值技術 是以有限差分方法為基礎的,並且是以鋸齒狀的方式來近似鑄件的幾何形狀,因而對複雜鑄 件的模擬有其限制。本研究開發一數學模型將部份網格法與 SOLA-VOF 結合在一起並且用來 模擬鑄造的充填現象, 然後對一含 4 個內部圓形障礙物的圓形鑄件進行測試。 原始的 SOLA-VOF 技術對此種形狀的鑄件並不具便利性。鑄件首先被分割成 28 × 28 × 7 的四方 網格,然後再進行數值模擬計算。為了驗證模擬的準確性,本研究同時做實驗以接觸時間法 來量測測試鑄件的流動形成, 所使用的鑄造金屬為 A356.2 鋁合金,澆注溫度約 680 度, 同時在鑄模的底部放置 86 根銅線,澆注之後,銅線的接觸時間被記錄下來以內差得到流動 模式。然後將計算的充填模式和實驗模式進行比較,結果發現兩者的趨勢相當吻合。 |
英文摘要 | Mold filling simulation is an important tool for running and gating system design in casting. Previously, a family of computational fluid dynamics technique, called Marker-And-Cell (MAC) and SOLA-VOF, has been proven to be rather successful to model the flow pattern of molten metal during filling of casting. However, the techniques are based on the numerical technique of finite difference method. It has the weakness of having to approximate the casting geometry in a zigzag fashion and is thus limited in modeling castings of complex geometry. In tihs study, a mathematical model was developed to incorporate a parital cell method with the SOLA-VOF technique to model the filling phenomena in casting. The model was then tested on a circular plate casting with four internal circular obstacles. The original SOLA-VOF technique is particularly troubled by this kind of geometry. The casting was first divided into a mesh system of 28 × 28 × 7 rectangular cells before the simulation. The verify the accuracy of the simulation, an experiment to measure the filling pattern was also conducted by the so called contact time method. A356.2 aluminum alloy was used as the casting metal. The pouring temperature was araund 680 ℃. .86 copper wires were inserted in the bottom of the casting mold. The casting was poured, the contact times of the wires were recorded, and then the filling pattern was interpolated. The calculated filling pattern and the measured one were then compared. The agreement is very satisfactory. |
