英文摘要 | The very first step in overall reverse engineering is to acquire point- data. The fineness and correctness of the data significantly affects the quality of the final CAD model. Therefore, it is highly in question as how to acquire better-structured point-data or how to adjust and edit them. This paper aims to resolve a practical problem in reverse engineering: what is the best way to modify improper point-data in order to make the fitted curve smooth. A curvature-adjustment approach is proposed which applies the concept of "minimum energy" to control the curvature of a composite curve, so as to smooth the curve off convex or concave portions and to achieve a well-furnished curve. |
