英文摘要 | These experiments were carried out at the station in 1962. The purpose of this experiment was to study the growth of the axillary bud of tea cuttings in order to increase the percentage of rooting which were interpreted and summarized as follows: A. Dust formulation of growth substance; (1) Treatment of IBA and GA in combination has a significant effect on rooting and on growth of the axillary bud of tea cuttings, which was found in the variety T.N. 29. This combined treatment was also better than that treated with IBA or GA alone. (2) Sucrose and Agrimycin, either alone or in combination with other substances did not appear any beneficial effect on rooting from the cuttings. (3) It was found that the growth of the axillary bud, rooting and the percentage of rooting of cuttings were exerted effect by the inherent character of tea clones. In this trial, var. T.N. 29 was the best on percentage of rooting and Chin-shin Oolong (var. sinensis) was the least. But after treatment with some growth substances Var. T.N. 335 appeared superier rooting to untreated controls. Furthermore, their rootings were also better than the other five varieties, which recieved the some treatment. B. Liquid formulation of growth substances; (1) By immersing the bassal and of the cuttings in the liquid method, treatment of IBA ±NAA resulted in a better root system than that of the other treatments. This combined treatment was also better than that treated with IBA or NAA alone. The treatment of nicking the bark at the bassal and of slip and then treating with IBA has shown no effect on rooting or on growth of the axillary bud. (2) By spraying the mother leaf with the growth substances method. The treatment of IBA+NAA did not show any beneficial effect on rooting at the end of 6 months after the cuttings being planted in nursery for rooting. Although it has shown better in early initiation of roots, it preverted from the growing of the axillary bud. Treatment with NAA, either alone or in combination with urea solution shows no beneficial effect on rooting and growth of cuttings, which IBA combination with urea solution appeared beneficial effect on rooting, and this result was also better than that with IBA or urea solution alone. The axillary bud has been stimulated by GA. treatment, but it had no effect on rooting. GA. treatment was better than urea solution on affecting of root development. It was also found that this effect was more significant in var. T.N. 29. than in var. T.N. 105. The local growth substance--"Bene plant" also appeared superior effect on rooting, but it had no effect on growth of the axillary bud. Moreover, if it was combined with urea solution no beneficial effect was found either on rooting or on growth of the axillary bud. (3) The treated method of (1) which was more satisfactory and economical than that of (2), therefore the latter is not suitable to use for treatment on tea cuttings. |
