| 英文摘要 | A feeding trail was conducted to evaluate the utilization of carbohydrates as a dietary energy source by fingerlings of striped murrel Channa striatus. Seven isonitrogenous diets were formulated from semi-purified ingredients with seven different levels of carbohydrates (8%, 12%, 17%, 21%, 25% 30%, and 34%) which were fed to replicated groups of fished at a rate of 3% of their biomass daily for 8 weeks in 40-1 aquaria. Based on the specific growth rate (SGR), average daily gain (ADG), and food conversion ratio (FCR), and protein efficiency ratio (PER), it was observed that C. striatus fingerlings utilized carbohydrates better than lipids. At the 12% carbohydrates level, the SGR and PER were significantly influenced in striped murrel with a 4.3 kcal/g energy value to protein ratio of 100 mg/kcal. But lower SGR levels were obtained with diets containing high levels of carbohydrates. This study indicates that an optimal carbohydrate level (12%) could be effectively utilized by striped murrel fingerlings with no adverse effect. |
