英文摘要 | Hog cholera virus (HCV) causes an acute or chronic infection and also induces persistent infection. The impairment of immune system of HCV infection plays a central role in the pathogenesis of the disease. To investigate the effect of HCV infection on immune system, the cellular immune responses of pigs after LPC vaccination and / or virulent HCV (HCV-YL) challenge, were examined. HCV-YL infected pigs showed marked leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. The virus-specific lymphoproliferative response could not be consistently detected in most LPC vaccinated pigs, but mild and intermediate proliferative response of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) could be detected in some LPC vaccinated pigs and pigs recovering from HCV-YL challenge. The PBMC response to concanvalin A (ConA) in HCV-infected pigs was markedly suppressed. In addition, the response of PBMC from normal pigs to ConA in Vitro in the presence of live virulent HCV was also greatly suppressed. |
