英文摘要 | An important effort underlying whole reactor design project is the nuclear design. The design shall meets safety requirements and recommendations. Many of developing countries haven't established their own regulations yet. They adopt other regulations. Among the widely used regulations all over the world are set by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). They are also being used as the basis for developing new regulations of different countries. The design regulations contain safety information, recommendations and requirements to be met in the design. The present work is devoted to find the common safety aspects and variations between the NRC and IAEA regulations in the area of nuclear design of Nuclear Power Plant-Light Water Reactors (NPP-LWR). The consistency between them is demonstrated over the entire work. A peer comparison is obtained covering the nuclear design aspects of fuel element, reactivity control, reactor core. The operational states and accidental conditions are considered throughout the work. Comments referring to integrity, completeness, precession, concise, details, clearances, applicability and adaptability of the two systems are highlighted. The two regulations cover most safety design aspects but some of IAEA regulations are written in a global form which require high qualified experts for interpretation and transformation into specific, quantified and industrial standards. Some specific areas are presented extensively and others are stated briefly or missing by one of the system. IAEA stresses and presents details about the requirements of reactivity control and shutdown means. |
