英文摘要 | In the present study, the authors continued their investigation of the correlation between the hemodynamic stresses and platelet adhesion onto a wall in various geometries. The distribution of platelet adhesion in the initial stage onto the wall in a T-Junction was documented. A finite volume method was employed to obtain the detailed flow field and the stress distribution. Peak adhesion was found to occur around the apex of the flow divider. Direct impingement of blood flow onto the surface resulted in high adhesion. On the other hand, near the recirculation region, higher adhesion due to frequent platelet collision would also occur. A parameter V �a / �H V ���H devised previously was used to assess the effect of fluid dynamic factors and was found to be a sueful indicator of the peak adhesion. The parameter was also applied to other geometries. It was found that in direct impingement areas, the role of the normal stress could be as important as that of the shear stress. |
