中文摘要 | 利用土壤中放置接種原及傷口接種二種方法探討根莖基部乾腐病菌侵入及感染甘蔗之過程。本菌主要經由蔗根侵入寄主。當蔗根生長觸及接種原後,菌絲沿根表面生長,並形成兩種侵入構造(1)半球形狀侵入墊(infection cushion)及(2)菌絲束(mycelium strand)。菌絲侵入後沿表皮、皮層及中柱細胞往上蔓延,但速度緩慢,二個月後達蔗苗,三個月後達母莖基部,此時被感染蔗開始出現乾枯病徵。本菌除根部外,亦可由傷口侵入,其蔓延速度亦甚緩慢,接種二個月後蔗莖內可見明顯乾腐病徵。 |
英文摘要 | Penetration and infection of sugarcane root by Xylaria cf warburgii, a causal organism of root and basal stem rot of sugarcane, was observed by soil amendment and wound artificial inoculation methods. The pathogen infected sugarcane mainly through the root system. When growing roots contact inoculum , hyphae began to grow parallel to the roots longitudinal axis; mycelial strands and infection cushions began forming. Penetration of the root tissue by X. cf warburgii was inter-and intracellularly by infecting hyphae, which grew from these mycelial strands or infection cushions. Hyphae grew in epidermal cells and then along with hypodermis, endodermis, and vascular system, slowly colonizing. Two months after penetration, mycelium grew to cuttings. Three months later, mycelium colonized whole cuttings and began to penetrate primary shoots. Dry rot symptoms occurred in this stage. The pathogen also can penetrate the host via the wound. The infection rate was also slow, and dry rot symptoms occurred two months after inoculation. |
