英文摘要 | Commercial purity titanium (CP-Ti) and Ti-6A1-4V alloy (Ti-64) can be surface carburized at 930℃-1000℃ by fluidized bed technique. The total amount and the maximum depty of carbon atoms diffused were influenced by the operating temperature and period. The lattice parameters of surfacecarbides and depth profiles of major alloying elements at the near surface were obtained by XRD (C-ray diffractometry) and GDOS (low discharge optical spectrometry) respectively. Hydrogen and oxygen distribute only at the outer surface of the processed specimens, while nitrogen does not react with those at all. The maximum local hydrogen concentration is less than 10 at.% and the depth of diffusion is less than 1 um. The surface carbides are identified to be carbon deficient titanium carbides, TiCx. The stoichiometric ratios, x, for CP-Ti specimens range from 0.47 to 0.57, while those for Ti-64 specimens are interfered by oxygen and aluminum alloying atoms and can not be detemined from the dependence of lattice parameter on stoichiometric ratio, x, |
