中文摘要 | 圖書館資源利用在臺灣的大學教育中未能全然發揮。資源不足。人力不夠固然的 主因,但是缺乏有計劃的讀者利用指導更是不可抹煞的因素。大學中開設的圖書館利用教育 課程不只是將圖書館之空間配置、功能、服務項目介紹給學生外,更需指導學生如何蒐集資 料、辨別資料、培養組織資訊的能力,並且灌輸學生使用資訊方面的道德與法律觀念。目前 臺灣國小、高中階段學校圖書館著重在資料,設備與自動化的擴充。從相關文獻及筆者所做 之調查顯示讀者利用教育比較被忽視。本文擬以筆者在本校教學「圖書館利用教育」課程之 心得與中部三所大學之圖書借閱情況探討大生學利用圖書資料之不足,及國內大學教師利用 圖書館資源於研究與教學的情形做分析。就實際狀況來討論臺灣大學生之學習態度與學習問 題顯示該課程對改善當前大學教育之需求性及迫切性。並對現行不同的讀者利用教育方式做 比較,以美國教育經驗做綜合性討論。最後建議唯有正視課程之「圖書館利用教育」配合實 習課實際接觸資料才能達到最佳成效。 |
英文摘要 | The library resources have not fully utilized due to the deficiency of resource and shortage of library manpower; however, the most important reason is the inadequacy o user instruction programs. The course of User Instruction in college not noly introduces the space allocation, functions, and services of libraries to students, but also the strategies of information gathering, the abilities to make discriminating judgements on and organize information. More important, it provides students with a knowledge of intellectual property rights and relevant moral concepts. Nowadays, elementary and high schools in Taiwan emphasize the development of their collections and automation instead of user education. Articles and investigations indicate that user educations is neglected. The article shares the author's personal experience and circulation status of the kibraries of three universities in Taichung area, as well as the models of library usage of university faculty. It discusses learning attitudes an learning problems of cllege students to show the necessity and urgency of the User Instruction as a course. In addition, it compares the different implementations of user instruction based on the U.S. experiences. It suggests that only regular course of Library User Education with practice in libraries is the best way for libraries to become more effective. |
