中文摘要 | 本研究之目的是瞭解五專護生在精神科護理學授課前後對精神病患者之概念及態 度的影響,以做為教學成效評值的參考。 以五專護理科學生三百名為研究對象,自民國 85 年 2 月至民國 86 年 1 月收集資料。於教學前、教學中及教學後,共施測三次。問卷包含 :基本資料、「精神病患態度量表「、「精神病患概念量表」。以授課前測得的分數為基準 , 用配對 t 檢定來和授課中及授課後比較,結果顯示:授課後護生對精神病患的概念是比 較不認為具有「個性偏差與危險性」;對精神病患的態度在授課後比較「慈悲」與偏向「社 區心理衛生意識」,比較不採「權威取向與社會限制」態度。以皮爾森積差相關分析護生對 精神病患的概念、態度與學期成績之關係發現:護生對精神病患的「態度」與「概念」關係 密切。學期成績較高的護生對精神病患持較「慈悲」與「社區心理衛生意識」的態度,較不 同意精神病患是「個性偏差與危險性」的看法。學期成績較低的護生對精神病患較會採「權 威取向與社會限制」的態度,認為精神病患是有「行為偏差」、「個性偏差與危險性」。護 生對精神病患的概念愈負面其態度也愈負向。在不同的學習階段,護生對精神病患的概念與 態度皆有持續的正向改變,肯定了精神科護理室教學的價值;護生對精神病患之概念及態度 是否有正向改變,能做為精神科護理教學之成效評值。 |
英文摘要 | The attitudes of nursing and medical students toward mental illness may influence their choice of psychiatry as a specialty. This study is to examine the nursing students' attitudes and concepts toward mental illness before and after the academic instruction. We selected 300 students from a five-year nursing college, and collected data from February of 1996 to January of 1997, with questionnaires given three times separately before, during, and after the school's academic year. The questionnaires consists of:basic information", "scale of attitudes toward mental illness (SAMI), and "scale of concepts toward mental illness"(SCMI). After the academic program is completed, we find the score by the third questionnaire is higher on "Benevolence" and "Community Mental Health Ideology" than that of the second questionnaire's score, and lower on "Authority and Social Restrictiveness" than that of the first questionnaire by SAMI. Besides, it also shows a lower score on "Personality Deviation and Potential of Danger". The scores on concepts of "Behavioral Deviation" and "Mental Deviation" are obviously lower before the academic program, too. We analyze the correlation among the scores of SAMI,SCMI and the academic achievement, and the results show:the attitudes of "Benevolence" and "Community Mental Health Ideology" and " academic achievement score" are positively related, but, the attitudes of "Authority and Social Restrictiveness","Personality Deviation and Potential of Danger", and "Behavioral Deviation" are negatively related. The attitudes of "Community Mental Health Ideology" and "Authority and Social Restrictiveness", "Personality Deviation and Potential of Danger","Behavioral Deviation"and"Mental Deviation" are negatively related as well; yet, the above attitudes are positively related to the academic achievement score. This study shows that there is a close relationship between attitudes and concepts:the more negative the student's attitude, the more negative his concept toward mental illness. which is closely related to his academic achievement score. During the different phases of academic period. students have developed more positive attitudes and concepts toward mental illness. These results prove that we can effectively change students' attitudes toward the mentally ill through psychiatric nursing education program. |
