英文摘要 | Past studies into human resource shortages in aging societies have been carried out via investigations of industrial automation and foreign laborers. This study, on the other hand, approaches the topic from the perspective of human resource management and strategies. In addition, a theoretical framework is consturcted to examine enterprise characteristics, types of workforce shortages, strategies for human resource development and employment management, while also investigating the significance of relevant variables. The author formulated three null hypotheses and conducted a field survey of 1,000 major enterprises in Taiwan so as to gain a greater understanding of human resource management and strategies on the island as it evolves into an aging society. The findings indicate that types of workforce shortages are related to enterprise characteristics, that the human resource strategies employed by an enterprise are related to its characteristics, and that human resource strategies must operate hand in hand with proper employment management if the needs of the workers are to be satisfied. The information gleaned from the workings and conclusions of this study should certainly add weight to the theory of human resources and assist in its practical application in an aging society. |
