中文摘要 | 斷層構造的側向密封(seal)能力常是決定其儲油氣潛能的關鍵。透過理論及技術 的研究與實際案例的驗證,我們可建立起斷層密封分析及評估的經驗與技術,進而提高探勘 成功率,或用以規劃最有效益的油氣田生產方式。 與密封性地層併接,斷層面本身產生密封作用及短暫性的薄膜密封,都是側向密封產生 的方式。其中第一種密封方式是較容易評估及掌握的,而斷層面本身產生密封的可能機制是 頁岩污跡與碎粒形變,前者已發展出量化的評估方法。斷層的斷距及方位、密度、活動年代、 砂頁岩比例等均已被證實為影響斷層密封之地質因素。 我們在一實際探勘案例研究中,體認到無論是油氣移棲模擬或構造模擬,斷層密封因素 之考量均很重要。且分析結果顯示:該案例下較晚活動且小斷距的斷層,易使得相似砂頁岩比 例及相近地層壓力的地層發生側向併接,較有利於密封油氣。此與其他地區統計及分析所得迥 然不同,此說明了斷層密封作用強烈受區域地質因素所控制。 |
英文摘要 | For the fault-related traps, the ability to form side-seals is often the key factor of hydrocarbon potential and has always been neglected. Through studying the key references on fault sealing and many case histories giving examples of fault-seal analysis, we can establish the concept and techniques of assessment of fault sealing. Fault-related seals were classified as (1) sealing occurs due to juxtaposition against a sealing lithology. (2) seal is provided by the fault plane itself. (3) temporary membrane seal. Juxtaposition fault forms an essential trapping element and is a geometrical inference. The second fault sealing can be provided by shale smear or cataclasis along the fault plane. Some geological parameters that can contribute to fault seal include: fault displacement and orientation, age of faulting and net-to-gross ratio, etc. In an exploration case study, we have undertaken a series of studies in terms of potential hydrocarbon charge and trap efficiency, significantly taking into account the fault lateral seal. The results show that two facts, limited throw and mainly post depositional fault, allow a lateral juxtaposition of stratigraphic series displaying similar sand/shale ratios and pressure regime. The geometrical modeling suggests that the fault seal is theoretically working in that case, which was quite different with the concept that the big throw and syndeposition are positive with regards to effectiveness of fault seal. This demonstrates the great impact of regional geology on development of fault seals. |
