| 中文摘要 | 近年來,我國及積極尋求加入世界貿易組織(WTO),勢必導致農產品市場自由化 和國際化。然養豬為本省農業單項產質最高之產業,為使我國加入 WTO 後仍維持市場之 競爭力及因應產業結構的改變與調適,同時兼顧生產與生態環境的和諧平衡,俾利農業的永 續發展:一方面我們必須加強本省養豬科技,提高每頭母豬年產上市肉豬數,以達到降低毛 豬生產成本之目標,另一方面我們必須發展具有本土特性及產品區隔的畜產品以滿足國人特 需,進而減少進口農畜產品所帶來的衝擊。 本文綜合報導本省近年來,有關本地的豬種的生產性能與該類種原因基因利用之研究成 果。主要之本地豬隻種原計包括:桃園豬、小耳種豬蘭嶼系與小耳種豬李宋系,以及合成豬 種-臺灣黑豬品系。 |
| 英文摘要 | In recent years, the Republic of China on Taiwan has endeavored to accede to the world Trade Organiztion (WTO), leading to the liberalization and internationalization of the agricultural products in Taiwan. However, it is important to retain Taiwan's agricultural competitiveness after acceding to the WTO and maintain sustainable development while balancing production and environmental protection. Since pig production is a major livestock industry with the largest production value in the agriculture sector, it is necessary the strengthen the related pig science and technology, especially to increase the number of hogs produced per sow annually, and thus endeavor to decrease the production cost in swine industry. Furthermore, to develop native livestock products, and thus release some of the impact due to the importation of animal products in animal industry will be in urgent need. This article reviewed the performance and progress made in Taiwan native pigs as well as utilization of those genetic resources during the recent years. Breeds included were Taoyuan pigs, Small-Ear pigs and the synthetic line-Taiwan Ebony pigs. |
