中文摘要 | 靜置於光滑斜渠床的球體,在重力的作用下球體以加速度沿渠床前進,最後並到達終端速 度。本文藉由室內實驗以探討渠床寬度變化(側壁效應)對阻力係數與終端速度的影響,並推求終 端速度與渠床寬度、渠床坡應對球體及流體特性之無因次關係圖。在己知渠床坡度、渠寬、球體及 流體特性時,藉由此圖可推知球體之終端速度。 |
英文摘要 | A sphere released from rest on an inclined smooth plane in a stationary fluid accelerates along the plane under the influence of gravity and eventually reaches a terminal velocity. The effect of proximity of sidewalls of the flume on the drag coefficient and the terminal velocity of the sphere are investigated through laboratory experiments. The relation of the terminal velocity and flume width is determined and presented in a dimensionless graph. Given the bed inclination, the flume width as well as the properties of the fluid and the sphere, the terminal velocity can be determined directly from the graph. |
