中文摘要 | 自一九八0年臺灣大學正式設立圖書館學研究所以來,臺灣地區培育圖書館學碩 士人才的學校計有臺大、淡江、輔大、政大及文化大學等五所。本文旨在檢討當今國內圖書 館學碩士教育之實施,並試圖歸納改革因應的措施建議。鑑於資訊科技的快速發展,圖書館 的營運已逐漸喪失其專業性,此種現象也牽動圖書館學的專業教育。總的來說,圖書館學研 究所面臨:一、名稱的爭議、二、學院歸屬、三、失焦的教育目標、四、核心課程的難產、 五、學生來源狹隘、六、本土性教材、七、研究工作等困境。作者建議:一、對未來圖書館 學校教育的革新需由上而下,有整體性的規劃、二、儘速研擬圖書館學教育白皮書、三、加 強研究方法的相關課程、四、制訂評鑑圖書館學課程的標準、五、促進圖書館學與其他學科 之互動、六、提倡網路化教學、建構虛擬課程。 |
英文摘要 | Since the founding of formal Graduate Institute of Library Science at National Taiwan University in 1980 five universities in Taiwan have established graduate library science programs. This paper tried to trace the development of advancd libary science degree programs, examined the internal and external obstacles encountered. Due to the rapid change of Internet and information technology, the libary science program has to compete with other departments, such as MIS, Computer Science,MBA, etc. This phenomena had great impact upon the education for libary professionals. In general,the Graduate Institute of libary Science has the following dilemma:1.The debate for a proper name;2.The belonging of appropriate school;3.The concensus for core curriculum;4.The recruitment of good students;5.the lack of Chinese teaching material;6.The neglect of research work. In conclusion, the author proposed the following suggestions:1.A national planning for libary science education propram.2.The evaluation of libary science program,3.Virtual classroom and networked instruction, 4.More intraction with other departments, 5.The emphasis on research work. |
