英文摘要 | Three general kinematic regimes are recognized for shallow crustal levels of the Taiwan orogenic belt. The regimes are defined on the basis of the dominant population of brittle faults and compared with the results of a recent GPS survey of southern Taiwan. The two data sets yield simi1ilar deformation patterns and together indicate a west-to-east change from a regime of thrust faulting where the elevation is relatively low to a regime of strike-slip faulting where the elevation is moderate to a regime of norma1 faulting where the elevation is relatively high. |
