英文摘要 | Rough rice lots of 50 grams spread on the bottoms of drying sieves of 15.6 cm inside diameter were being dried on a sample-dryer, using intermittent drying pattern, under different drying conditions. Rice variety: Medium grain, grown in South Taiwan Initial moisture content: 34%, d.b. Apparent drying air velocity: 0.21 m/s Drying air temperature: 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60°C Drying air humidity: 17, 24, 31 g/kg dry air Drying time for each round: 10 min. Tempering time for each round: 50 min. There were 18 different treatments with 2 repetitions for each treatment. For everyone of the treatment, the experiment drying curve was highly correlated to the following exponential equation: MR = A•exp(-kt) with a pair of A and k of its own. If all drying data were fitted to one single exponential equation and then using multiple linear regression to fit the model with temperatures and humidities, the following equations were obtained: A = 1.026337-0.00453•T + 0.002551•H, r2 = 0.823 -k = 0.001496-0.00026•T + 0.000008 H, r2 = 0.921 The effect of drying temperature on dring rate were obvious. The effect of the moisture in the drying air on drying rate was greater when the drying temperature was lower. |
