英文摘要 | 本研究利用熱螢光定年法分析了四個採自於臺灣西南海岸且年代輕於五萬年的沈 積物樣本,所得熱螢光年代與碳十四法已定出之結果相較之下,發現了一相當固定的偏高差 值,這個現象可能是因為海岸相細顆粒沈積物,雖經過了較長的陽光晒退仍舊無法達到晒退 底限值。不過如果能將此高估值準確的計算出來,熱螢光法仍然可以用來應用在海岸沈積物 之定年上。本研究在實驗過程中發現,反覆之沈積物萃取及在 80 ℃下 2N HCl 之處理,可 以幫助我們選出最集中的顆粒大小,且能夠除去大部分黏土礦物的干擾。經過上述改進步驟 所測試的樣本,很明顯的在我們常用於定年的高溫區域中有較高的解析度,並且所計算出來 的年代十分合理。四個發表的樣本中,僅 An65 為線性迴歸線,其他三者表現出來均為指數 迴歸線,這是因為 An65 有明顯的 375 ℃之石英峰出現,這個現象亦說明了 375 ℃之峰值 有較高的飽和度,應可適用於較老樣本的定年。 minutes at 230 ℃ to enhance the high temperature signal, when the glow curves were read. Through this modified method, four reasonable TL ages were derived. The linear regression line of An65 is different from the others, that show the exponential regression lines. This is because An65 has a 375 ℃ peak (on the basis of a heating rate of 5 ℃ /sec). but the others only have a 325 ℃ peak (also using the heating rate of 5 ℃ /sec). This implies that the 375 ℃ peak has a high capacity for TL signal accumulation and is appropriate in being applied for older age determination. |
