中文摘要 | 本文針對中原大學大一英文的教材教法用適合及不同統計方法討論下列三項研究:(1)不同教材教法與學生英文程度增進之相關性分析。(2)任課老師們與不同學院學生對英文教材喜好程度分析。(3)課程內容、教學與教法,自我評鑑之相關性分析,盼望對未來大一英文的教材教法之修訂有正面的參考價值。 研究結果顯示,豐富教材的確可以增進學生的英文程度,雖然顯著性不甚強;不同學院學生對教材的喜好差別很小,統一致材的編定是可接受的;教學方法之改進比教材更新似乎更受學生歡迎。 |
英文摘要 | The study on teaching materials and methods for Freshman English at Chung Yuan Christian University has been done to investigate: (1) the correlation between different teaching materials and methods and the improvement of students' English proficiency, (2) the preference of teaching materials from the viewpoint of the teachers and students of different colleges, and (3) the correlations between textual content, teachers and teaching methods, and selfevaluation. It is hoped that the results of the study will provide valuable suggestions for revising teaching materials and methods in the future. The analysis of the data reveals that (1) a variety of teaching materials results in a greater degree of improvement in English ability, but the differences are insignificant, (2) there are few differences in the preference for teaching materials among the students of the different colleges; therefore, it is acceptable to use the same teaching materials for all the students of the different colleges, and (3) innovation in teaching methods is slightly more appealing to the students than innovation in teaching materials. |
