英文摘要 | A model of ln η= A+B/Tr has been attempted for correlating the temperature variation of the liquid viscosities of nonpolar and some polar substances. Cefficients A and B are then generalized by two versions of empirically combined polynomial expansion; one is using the acentric factor and the parachor, and another employs the acentric factor and the radius of gyration. Although two approaches give rise to nearly the same effectiveness concerning the separation of contributions to the physical properties by size-shape and polarity effects, the one with the parachor is recommended for use on account of it is a much more tractable parameter. The model developed requires only the critical temperature, the acentric factor and the parachor as correlating parameters and gives an overall average deviation of 5.69%. Errordistribution indicates that 91% of the predicted values show an error below 10% for the method. The method is compared with the OrrickErbar, van Velzen-Cardozo-Langenkamp and Przezdziecki-Sridhar methods. |
