中文摘要 | 就現今台灣大多數的五專而言,由於長期偏頗的教學傳統及有限的上課時間,文 法翻譯教學法似乎成為英文閱讀課程的唯一教學方法。本文根據作者的教學經驗,建議了四 種教學活動及兩項〝填補活動〞,以便儘量利用有限的閱讀課時間去增進學生們的閱讀能力 及另三項語言能力。這種整合聽、說、讀、寫的教學法,目的在於避免學生只習慣單一的語 言學習法,並且能夠讓原本單調乏味的課堂變得鮮活有趣。總之,教師的想像力及創造力, 才是設計符合學生需要之課程的兩大泉源,本文中提供的活動及遊戲僅是一些參考。 |
英文摘要 | In most junior colleges in Taiwan today, the grammar-translation approach seems to be the sole teaching method in the English reading classroom due to the long-biased tradition and restricted class time. This article is to suggest, according to the author's teaching experience, four classroom activities and two "fillers" which were designed to make the best use of the limited reading class time to improve students' other three language skills as well. The integrated approach to teaching reading as well as listening, speaking and writing in class aims at avoiding students from one single approach to language learning, as well as giving a fresh flavor to the otherwise stale classroom atmosphere. After all, teachers' imagination and creativity serve as the two most important fountains of the teacher-made classroom exercises, as discussed in this article, to best meet the needs of students. |
