中文摘要 | 本研究旨在探討動畫中不同的圖像複雜度(visual complexity)在不同年齡學童認知學習上的影響。人與物的內在細密度(amount of interior detail in figure)和背景訊息的有無(presence or absence of background information)是此研究專注的重點所在。至於兒童的認知學習,則著重在他們對教學內容的理解。本研究採3(圖像複雜度)X2(年齡)前後測實驗法。三班四年級與八年級的受式者分別隨機分派到不同圖像複雜度中之一組:輪廓線條組,輪廓線條加入人物細密度組,和輪廓線條加入物細密度及背景訊息組。學生先接受前測,二週後再觀看實驗教材與接受後測。前後測為研究者自編的知識測驗,用以評量學生對教材內容的理解程度。本實驗的教材是有關物體運動定律的電腦動畫錄影帶。研究結果顯示電腦動畫中提供不同程度的圖像複雜度對兒童理解教材內容沒有顯著的影響。使用複雜的圖像並不能改進學生學習的效果。同時,動畫中圖像複雜度和學生年齡之間亦沒有交互作用的存在。然而,高低層次認知學習過程之不同及不相關訊息的容忍度等問題則還有待進一步的研究與探討。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to investigate whether differences in the level of visual complexity in motion visuals have an effect on cognitive learning of students in different grade levels. The instructional content was a 14-minute video lesson concerning the motion of objects in the universe. A 3 (levels of visual complexity) x 2 (grade levels )factorial, pretest-posttest design was used. Three 4th-and three 8th-grade classrooms were randomly assigned to one of the three video treatment groups. All subjects received the pretest, treatment, and posttest. Pretest and posttest consisted of 28 multiple-choice questions and were designed to test subject's comprehension of the instructional content. The results indicated that providing different levels of visual complexity in motion visuals had no significant impact on children's comprehension of the intended learning. Also, no interaction between amount of visual complexity in motion visuals and grade level was found. |
