英文摘要 | A pangolagrass pasture was lightly harrowed with 75 cm wide between 50 cm intervals. Seeds of siratro (Macroptilium atropurpureum), intortum clover (Desmodium intortum) and centro (Centrosema pubescens) were broadcasted (15 kg/ha) in the harrowed strip. Six treatments were used, i.e., (i) siratro-pangolagrass mixture, (ii) intortum clover-pangolagrass mixture, (iii) centro-pangolagrass mixture, (iv) partial renovation (plot was partially cultivated in alternate rows with no legume planted), (v) non- renovation ( plot without any renovation or legume planted). In the first year, the forage yield of pangolagrass with partial renovation treatment was less than that with non-renovation. Siratro-pangolagrass mixture produced 4 mt/ha more than the treatment with partial renovation. In the second year, the treatment with partial renovation produced more forage yield than the pasture with non- renovation. Siratro and intortum clover persisted to the second year and the contents of crude protein in plants were increased. Centro competed poorly with pangolagrass, persisted for only one year, and produced less than 1 mt/ha of dry matter in the whole year. No significant effect of legume species was observed on ADF content in the pasture. It was suggested that siratro was the most suitable species to be sown in the pangolagrass pasture by partial renovation to improve forage yield and quality for pangolagrass pasture. |
