中文摘要 | 本研究旨在探討六年級學生社會科學科專家定義下具備了哪些知識與能力。研究目的不在評量學童在現行教材上的學習成就,而在以專家對六年級學童的要求看現在已有哪些或沒有哪些社會科知能,進而分析學童會的是否由現行教材中學來的,不會的是否是因為教材沒教。這些資料能提供未來課程發展的參考。 我們請了師範學院中歷史、地理、法律、社會、經濟、政治各學科學者與測驗編製學者共聚一堂,編製能測出各學科知能的題目。題目經過多次測試與修訂,於民國八十年五月正式在全省及台北、高雄兩院轄市28所學校測驗3168位小學六年級學生。 由結果我們看到學生讀地圖,使用統計圖表,換算歷史年代的能力極待增強。另外,在時間與歷史的關係上,在社會學與政治學某些概念形成上也需要教學上的加強。 |
英文摘要 | This study was to investigate the sixth graders' knowledge and skills in Social Studies. The researchers have invited scholars of History, Geography, Sociology, Economics, Government, and Law to provide domain-specific guidlines of which the elementary graduates should have learned. With the guidelines, a test was developed by experienced elementary teachers with the help of a measurement expert. After piloting and revision two times. the test was put out on randomly selected 3168 6th qraders all over the island. The results showed the major weaknesses of the students were: 1) their abilities to use maps and graphies to acquire information, 2) their knowledge of the relationship of chronology and historical events, and 3) their understanding of some of the concepts in sociology and Covernment. The results can be very helpful to the current consideration of developing a new Social Studies curriculum. |
