中文摘要 | 閱讀,對學童的各項學習、生活適應及人格發展,均有極為密切的影響; 而回書館的運用,叉直接影響了閱讀興趣與習慣。如何有效地培養學童正當的閱 讀興趣與運用固書館的習慣,宦為提昇教育品質的重要關鍵,亦為建立書香社會 的基礎工程。本研究的目的,在於瞭解國小學童運用圖書館及課外閱讀的實況, 並比較不同性別、年級、地區及年代之學童的差異。分析歸納研究結果,作為學 校、家庭及教育行政機構培養學童運用圖書館及閱讀興趣之參考。 研究對象係選自台北市民國七十三年及七十九年市區、郊區各五所國小的中、高 年級之男女學童,合計3234(73年為1269人,79年為1965人)為樣本。研究工具為 自編之「國小圖書館運用及課外閱讀調查問卷」。調查所得資料,配合研究目的。 經統計分析,本研究之主要發現如下:一、國小學童對學校圖書館的運用,在有 關運用的頻率、方式、時段及改進意見的反應上。因性別、年級、地區及年份的 不同,有顯著差異。其中因年份不同而產生的差異,項目最多;因性別不同而顯 現的差異,項目最少。二、國小學童在課外閱話方面,關於所喜歡的書類、圖書 來源、閱讀方法,以及讀後感覺與想法等,因性別、年級、地區與年份的不同, 各有其顯著差異的項目。因年級不同而產生的差異,項目最多;因地區不同而造 成的差異,項目最少。 基於上述發現,研究者對國小教師、校長、主任,學童家長及教育行政人員等, 提出改進意見;並對未來研究方向,試作建議。 |
英文摘要 | Reading has a strong influence on learning ablility, adaptability to a new environment, and the development of personality for primary school students while interestin reading is influenced directly by utilization of the school library. How to effectively help students cultivate an interest in reading and form a habit of using the libraryhas, therefore, become an important educational topic as well as a basic considerationfor establishing a society where people enjoy reading. The purposes of this study are to try to understand the real situations in whichprimary school students are using the school library and doing outside reading; tocompare the differences in the use of the library and outside readings related to sex,grade, region, and the year the questionnaire was answered (hereafter referred to asyear); and to provide a reference for the school, parents, and educational authoritiesto help cultivate an interest in reading and establish a proper way of utilizing the library. The study was carried out by using a guestionnaire produced by the writer. Thequestionnaire was administered in 1984 and in 1990. The subjects, all in grades 3throuth 6, regardless of sex, were selected from 10 primary schools, 5 in the city ofTaipei, and the other 5 in its suburbs. A total of 3234 students answered the questionnaire, among whom 1269 participated in 1984, and 1965 in 1990. The following are the findings based on a statistic analysis of the questionnaire.A. In respect to the use of the library, answers to such questions as "How often didyou visit the library?" With whom did you go to the library?" "When did you visit the library?" and Any suggestions for improvement?" have indicated significant differences related to sex, grade, region, and year, with year creating the greatest difference and sex the least.B. Concerning outside readings, there are questions over which more common opinions are shared. They are "most favorable category of books," "sources ofbooks," "reading skills," and " post-reading comments." However, significant differences related to sex, grade, region and year are noted for their respective questionsother than the above, with grade creating the greatest difference, and region theleast. |
