英文摘要 | Few academic library directors consider using marketing strategies toattract more users, to make a better image, and even to obtain more financialsupport from their administrators. Most academic librarians deem that students and faculty members will automatically and continuously use libraries.It is unnecessary for librarians to attract them to the library. This is a problem bewildering in most academic libraries today. The University of Central Florida Library has applied the three basicmarketing strategies-exhibits/displays, news releases, and publications-foryears. As a result, the Library's statistical figures in circulation, interlibraryloan, and reference questions answered have been significantly increased andthe image of Library and librarians is amazingly high. |
