英文摘要 | A cooling seeded batch crystallizer was used to determine the secondary nucleation kinetic expression for the potassium alum crystal. The mathematical techniques involved in the computation were Simplex method and the shifted Legendre polynomials. The nucleation rate equation was expressed by a simple power law model comprising three state variables, i.e., temperature, supersaturation, and magma density. Then the effects of operational variables on the crystal size distribution were discussed using the simulated results. |
