中文摘要 | 本研究首在研討幼兒智力與運動能力的相關情形。先從嘉義市省、市、私立幼稚園中,依據智力測驗結果,以隨機取樣法選出幼兒80名 (男女各佔40名)。再依據智商高低,男女差別,分成四組,每組20名幼兒,施以基本運動能力的測驗,然後,將其各項基本運動能力的測驗結果,使用異教分析法,歸納比較之。結果發現: 一、幼兒智力與基本動能力間之相關,受年齡大小,智商高低之影響,而導致不同的結果,惟性別差異之影響不大。 二、幼兒的身心發展尚未進入分化階段,應重視其整体的 (綜合性)運動能力,這一方面,本研究經變異分析法歸納結果,男女均為智力高的幼兒優於智力低的幼兒,此項結論與Gesell等人的研究相同。 三、幼兒的世界是遊戲,幼兒的生活,即為遊戲生活。本研究的結論,提示幼兒教育階段,智力與運動能力的相關性,幼兒在各種遊戲活動中,可以增進運動能力,刺激神經系統與肌肉系統之協調整合,或許可使智力獲得更適當之發展。 |
英文摘要 | This study explores the relationship between intelligence and athletic ability in young children. Eighty young children (40 boys and 40 girls) were randomly chosen from private and public kindergartens in Chiayi Hsien according to their Intelligence test results. The children were divided into four groups of 20 according to sex and intelligence level. All children were administered an athletic abilities test. The analysis of variance of the results indicate: 1. The relationship between intelligence and athletic ability is affected by both age and IQ, producing different results in the different groups, but the effect of age is smaller. 2. The physical and mental development of young children are as yet undifferentiated at this stage, so attention should be focused on their overall physical ability. In this respect, the ANOVA shows that both boys and girls of high intelligence and superior to those of low intelligence. This conclusion is In keeping with the research of Gesell et al. 3. The child's world is a world of play. Their everyday life is itself play. This study concludes that at this stage of early childhood education intelligence and athletic ability is related and increased physical activity in children's play can stimulate the coordination of their neurological system and muscular system, thus perhaps producing more appropriate intellectual development. |
