英文摘要 | Recently, Rubber wood has been widely utilized as a major raw material in furniture poduction. However, the problem of its being easily stained and moldered results in unsightly spots on the woods, and affects the quality of the products. In this experiment. rubberwood boards and disks were treated with ten different chemicals. The treated and the control samples were then kept in an environment of high humility. The effect of each chemical was inspected regularly to determine its capability of preserving rubberwood. The experimental results are summarized as the flowing. 1.Wood boards: The samples treated with Na-PCP(4.0%, 2.0%) and MB-100F(5.0%, 2.5%) were shown to have the best anti-fungal capability. The samples treated with MB-100F 0.1% and H2O2 8.0% were least effective in preventing fungal attacks. However, the untreated woods were in the worst condition, taking only 20 days to get seriously sapstained. 2.Wood disks: The samples treated with MB-100F 5.0% showed the lowest staining rate, while the samples with Na-PCP 4.0%, Na-PCP 2.0%, MB-100F 2.5%, and Chemilock E5.0% were showing increasingly higher staining rates. The woods with H2O2 8.0% and Sodium Benzoate 8.0% were found to stain more quickly. However, the untreated samples were found to get stained during an even shorter period of only 30 days. 3.The disk samples kept outdoor were found to stain faster than the indoor ones, possibly due to the weathering effect and chemical-leaching. |
