The Old Woman in the Wood"兩個故事,這兩個故事的閱讀聚焦在性別角色概念的調查。 |
英文摘要 | Different literary theories bring about different reading viewpoints, which in turn, can help children enhance their reading ability. This study discusses New Criticism and Critical Theory, and applies these two theories into the reading of two stories. They are "Thumbling" and "The Old Woman in the Wood", both taken from "The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales" (1998). The investigation of these two tales is conducted by looking at gender role concepts. After this, two alternative tales with different perspectives are explored. These two tales are Bradley's (2006) "Ballerino Nate" and Buzzeo's (2009) "Adventure Annie Goes to Work". By doing this, it is hoped that this study can show that knowing different literary theories can benefit the teaching and reading of stories in the classroom. |
