中文摘要 | 近年來無線-光纖通訊整合技術(Radio over Fiber; RoF)已為世界各學術與研究機構積極發展的研究領域,特別是可以透過RoF分佈式遠端天線單元(Remote Antenna Unit; RAU)以增加無線信號的涵蓋範圍並減少接取網路成本。然而,基於分時雙工(Time Division Duplex; TDD)傳輸模式的實際標準WiMAX接取網路,但是這又會限制標準WiMAX信號在光纖內傳輸的距離。因此,我們分析研究於RoF系統下的WiMAX信號其可傳輸距離的極限與傳輸效能,其中包含了傳輸吞吐量(Throughput)與封包損失(Packet-Loss)於不同地光纖長度的量測。此外為了確保RAU內TDD模式的傳輸性能,我們提出了一TDD切換技術於各個RAU內以符合TDD模式的WiMAX系統在RoF通訊系統上之傳輸與接取。此外並可藉RoF整合技術,可使得WiMAX信號在台灣高鐵沿線在高速行駛之下得以接通信號並提供網路服務,同時還可減少基地台的使用數量以減少成本。 |
英文摘要 | Radio over Fiber (RoF) system has attracted many research interests to extend the wireless cell coverage and reduce the cost by using the distributed remote antenna units (RAUs). However, the effective transmission fiber length in the RoF systems would be limited due to the time division duplex (TDD) mode used in the practical WiMAX access. Here, we study the transmission limitations and performances of the standard WiMAX signals for RoF systems. The throughputs and packet-losses at different fiber lengths are also investigated and analyzed. Besides, in order to increase the emitting power of the RAUs, a robust TDD switching mechanism is proposed in each RAUs for TDD access in RoF system. The WiMAX RoF technology can be used in Taiwan high speed railway (THSR) for signal access and it helps to reduce the number of base stations (BS). |
