中文摘要 | 國際化是企業成長的重要策略作為,廠商可透過海外投資進行全球佈局與調整其價值活動,進而強化廠商的競爭優勢。本研究提出一分析架構,建立研究假說,並以臺灣廠商為樣本進行實證,評估海外投資對母公司研發與行銷活動及經營績效之影響。實證結果得知台灣廠商對外投資後,母公司進行一連串的價值活動調整,如減少產品線數目、增加專業化生產、強化廠商研發能力、以及加強與國內上下游或同業進行行銷合作等價值活動調整,從而提升廠商的經營績效。 |
英文摘要 | Internationalization is an important strategic approach to firm growth. Through outward foreign direct investment (FDI), a firm can achieve resource reconfiguration and value activity adjustment. This can result in enhanced competitive advantages. This study proposes an analytical framework, formulates hypotheses, and presents an empirical study to evaluate the impact of outward investment on R& D、marketing activities and the performance of Taiwanese firms. From the empirical study, we find that ensuing FDI, Taiwanese firms are enhancing performance through value activity adjustments, for example, by reducing local production lines, enhancing product specialization, improving R& D capabilities, and initiating inter-firm marketing collaborations. |
