中文摘要 | 本文建置一項適合中學生之奈米科技課程模組,以中學所具備之相關設備, 使同學可以親自動手探究「自組裝奈米球」。實驗採用微米級之聚苯乙烯奈米球, 透過適當之界面活性劑,配製不同濃度奈米球於異丙醇中,接著使用市售價格親 民之沙拉甩水籃,透過手動甩水,將奈米球溶液塗佈於蓋玻片上,最後以一般放 大倍率達數百倍之光學顯微鏡,進行視覺檢測。實驗結果顯示,經由調節奈米球 濃度與甩水籃之轉速,得以成功獲得自組裝奈米球陣列,同時展示出不同層數、 長短程有序之六方最密堆積結構。更高階的檢測可以透過區域大專院校之支援, 使用桌上型電子顯微鏡,取得良好景深之清晰奈米圖案結構。另外,以雷射輔助 之繞射實驗,更能引發學生對奈米尺度的理解。筆者相信透過如此動手做的活動, 將有助於中學生學習奈米科技的相關知能。 |
英文摘要 | We report a hands-on experiment as a module for teaching nanotechnology in high school. The objective is meant for using common facilities in high school, and thus enabling students to do hands-on experiment of self-assembled nanospheres. Polystyrene nanospheres, Polybead®, with micrometer-scale of diameter are used, in which a proper solution is made with surfactant in isopropyl alcohol. A salad dryer purchased from utensil store is employed as a spinner for spin-coating nanospheres solution on glass slide. An optical microscope with hundreds of magnification is used for inspection. Consequently, self-assembled nanosphere arrays are obtained with optimal solution concentration and spin speed, in which long/short order of hexagonal lattice with single/multi-layer structures are distributed over the glass slide. Advanced table-top scanning electron microscope supported from local colleges may resolve better images. In addition, optical diffraction patterns observed in conjunction with laser beam may facilitate the teaching procedure and conceptual understanding for high school students. |
