英文摘要 | In a content-delivery system, connections are taken as the resources for sending files. However, because of the increasing business needs in the large-scaled network, the content-delivery service must be used for transferring files for various business purposes. The higher the number of files that are required to be delivered, the higher chance of the opportunity losing of the existing service is sustained. Additionally, in average, the average loss due to a failure of sending an urgent file is considerably larger than that in sending a regular file. Because connections are sparse resources, it is important to discuss a way to use connections efficiently for delivering files of various business priorities. This study analyzes the loss function that effectively for the measure of connections of the content-delivery service. The experimental results show that a manager can control the reservation of connections in order to deliver urgent files with an endurable loss. Finally, an indicator is derived for helping the management of content delivery through the comparison of the blocking probabilities of urgent and regular files. |
