英文摘要 | The purpose of this experimental work is to study the compound drop heating and evaporation behavior in a high-temperature environment. The compound drop is composed of an inner core of water covered by a shell of alkane fuel. Two different experiment methods have been used in this work. In the first, the drop was suspended with a thermocouple and was heated by hot plates. In the second method, a stream of compound drops was produced in free flight and injected into in a combustion chamber. In both of these two methods, the drops were recorded by means of a digital video system. Micro-explosion could be observed when a compound drop was heated. And, with controlled concentration of oxygen, the evaporation rate of the compound drop could be changed. |
