| 中文摘要 | 現今肥胖已是世界性的流行病而且是疾病與死亡的重要根源。本研究目的為建構肥胖矩陣來進行肥胖分級。其方法是以身體質量指數與腰圍來建構肥胖矩陣。肥胖矩陣分別以身體質量指數與腰圍的肥胖切點畫分成四個象限,形成四個肥胖等級。依肥胖矩陣肥胖矩陣的分級,本研究以大學生為對象進行肥胖分級,結果有1.88%的學生為過重,3.38%的學生為中央型肥胖,7.88%的學生為肥胖。總結而言,本研究以肥胖矩陣的思維,將不同肥胖分級的方法進行整合,提供一種精準且方便的肥胖評量工具。 |
| 英文摘要 | Obesity is nowadays understood as universal epidemic and became an important cause of death and co-morbidities. The search for a more accurate and convenient method to evaluate obesity is important. The purpose of present study was to built an Obesity Matrix to classify obesity. In this paper the body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) constructed an Obesity Matrix. Different values of BMI and WC used for validating the proposed method classify individuals in 4 Quadrant according BMI cut-offs and WC cut-offs with degrees of compatibility more realistic than Boolean classification. According to the classification of Obesity Matrix the prevalence of overweight was 1.88%, the prevalence of central obesity was 3.38%, the prevalence of obesity was 7.88% respectively in a population of college students. In conclusion, this paper proposed a novel–Obesity Matrix which was a more accurate and convenient method to evaluate obesity. |
