中文摘要 | 多年來,醫藥界已公認低密度脂蛋白 (LDL)過高是促成動脈粥狀硬化,進而引發心血管疾病的最主要因素。然而,近年來的研究指出,還有其它因子亦扮演著重要的角色,它們的重要性有些甚至不亞於 LDL,同為心血管疾病的獨立危險因子。這些因子包括以 C-反應蛋白為指標的發炎作用、膽固醇的過氧化、同半胱胺酸所造成的內皮細胞損傷、以及脂蛋白 (a)所促成之硬化斑的生成與血纖維蛋白原所促進之血栓的形成等。 因此要有效地降低心血管疾病的罹患率,單是降低 LDL是不夠的,應同時考慮全方位的處理方式,包括:可用抗發炎製劑或紅麴來降低 C-反應蛋白,以茶多酚等抗氧化劑來減少膽固醇的過氧化,以葉酸、維生素 B6、B12來降低同半胱胺酸,用 L-賴胺酸與 L-脯胺酸來降低脂蛋白 (a),而薑黃則可降低血纖維蛋白原。 |
英文摘要 | For many years, high plasma level of low density lipoprotein (LDL) has been recognized by medical professionals as the most important element leading to atherosclerosis. However, recent studies have indicated that a number of factors may also play important roles, some of them may be even more important than LDL in the processes of atherogenesis. These factors include the inflammation marker high C-reactive protein, oxidation of LDL, high amounts of homocysteine, lipoprotein (a), fibrinogen, ... etc. Fortunately, most of these factors can be manipulated and attenuated by anti-inflammatory agents, antioxidants, vitamins and other natural products, such as red yeast rice, folic acid, vitamin B6, B12, ...etc. |
