英文摘要 | This experiment was conducted during 1967 on acid soil (pH 4.4) in Agricultural Experiment Station, National Taiwan University, to study the response of molybdenum seed treatment and various rate liming on soybean yield, chemical composition and the uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium. molybdenum and calcium. Before sowing soybean seeds were soaked in sodium molybdate (NaMoO4.2H2O) which was dissoved with 0.1% methyl cellulose solution. The following conclusions were drawn from the experimental results: 1. If not applied with lime or molybdenum seed treatment, the leaves appeared pale green and showed chlorosis. 2. Molybdenum seed treatment without liming increased leaf and seed total nitrogen either but decreased its nitrate content. These effects were greatest on the unlimed plots and disminished as the lime rate was increased. 3. Liming and molybdenum seed treatments not affected the N. P. K. and Ca content of leaf. 4. Liming or molybdenum seed treatmtent all increased the Mo content of leaf while liming combined with molybdenum seed treatment increasing its Mo was larger than only liming. 5. Molybdenum seed treatment increased soybean seed yield 32.6%, pod number 30%, seed number 18%, weight of 100 seeds 12% and seed protein 8.7%, but decreased seed oil 5% as comparison with unliming and without molybdenum seed treatment. 6. Significant positive correalation existed between seed yield and rates of lime (where Mo was not applied), seed yield and seed protein, seed yield and seed number, seed yield and pod number, seed yield and weight of 100 seeds, seed yield and seed Mo. Significant negative correlations existed between seed protein and seed oil, seed protein and seed nitrate. No correlation existed between seed yield and lime when Mo was applied. |
