中文摘要 | 學校的課程應該貼近更廣大的學生經驗,能引發多數人的學習動機。博雅通識的成敗是區隔教育和職業訓練的重要指標,是大學部應該開設的重要課程;但是必須避免通識教育流於空泛,具實用性質的博雅通識教育是很好的解決方式。實用博雅通識將不同專業課程內容與職涯裡與通識教育有關的核心價值及能力連結,屬於一種長遠的、深耕的教育;呼應此概念,本課程設計之要旨是讓在地的歷史、藝文融入科技類課程單元中。藉由類似故事般的歷史背景課程內容為開端,帶領學生關注科學的主題-薄膜結構。概念性地讓非理工領域學生了解其他學術領域的方法與不同領域知識互動的方式。課程包含結構穩定度及展開圖概念,同時讓學生體會學校教的理論 (數學幾何能力)和就業技能的高度相關性。 |
英文摘要 | The undergraduate or bachelor’s degree curriculum should include a broader college experience, with general and liberal learning being the most important study courses. This approach would develop the liberal arts values and skills required for a variety of professions and careers. The purpose of this course arrangement is to facilitate the incorporation of local color, arts and mathematical skills in science courses. By beginning the course with history, students can be led through to the scientific theme of membrane structures. This course includes investigations into the structural stability of membranes and the development of a loft, which is a variant of a 3D wireframe volume object and is a technique used in 3D modeling packages. It is important that students are assisted in understanding the mathematical skills required for developing technical or specialized skills as technological advances require strong mathematical skills to support technology based careers. |
