英文摘要 | Campus public arts not only bear the important task of beautifying the environment of the campus as well as lifting people’s appreciation of art. This study adopts the methodologies of case study to analyze the aesthetic judgement toward public work of arts. The purposes of this study are as follows: (1) expressional forms and style of public art in the case school; (2) the teachers and (3) students’ aesthetic judgement on public art works in school; (4) the discrepancy of the teachers and students’ aesthetic judgement on public art works. The study surveyed 35 teachers and 222 students. The conclusions are: (1) Most public artistic themes in the case school have images affiliated with fishing. Each work has different expressional form of the material, skill and technique and color expression. Those works include abstract and concrete style. (2)The survey shows that teachers have positive appraisal of aesthetic judgement and the opinion is consistent, while only the view on the abstract style works is variant. (3) The survey indicates that students also have positive appraisal of aesthetic judgement. Female students have better appraisal of works and middle-grade students have better appraisal of the fifth work—‘rhythm.’ (4) Teachers and students have similar aesthetic judgement toward pubic art in the case school. Only the first work—‘school door,’ the third work—‘light of ocean,’ and the sixth work—‘source,’ are given discrepant aesthetic feedback. This study offer suggestions: the planning of campus public art should be integrated with school buildings and able to offer more chances to incorporate teachers and students’ participation. Teachers can design more curriculums regarding public art appreciation. |
