英文摘要 | The archaeological record and the natural environment are a critical source of understanding the majority of humanity’s past in terms of ecological and cultural diversity. In recent years, rescue excavation and documentation is not sufficient. In short, presenting and promoting archaeology education to the public matters for modern culture and heritage preservation. Explaining the profound and diverse record of ancient humanity has a value for bridging the past and the future. The Taichung basin is located in the central part of Taiwan. Excavation results from archaeological sites in Taichung city tells the story of its prehistoric residents. At different time periods and under different environmental factors, different styles of objects emerged. The work of archaeologists is to salvage prehistory before urban development destroys important sites in Taichung City. In addition to rescue excavation, the author anticipates that through communication and interpretation of archaeological resources for educational purposes they may serve as sustainable mechanisms for cultural renovation in the near future. |
