英文摘要 | We analyzed the grades of natural science courses (Calculus, General Physics, and General Chemistry) for the first-year cadets at ROC Military Academy (ROCMA), according to their scores of midterm and final examinations. Forty-two out of two hundred and sixty four cadets performed poorly and were evaluated to be “Incapable of Learning” on natural science courses. We found that the incapable cadets also formed the obstacle to encounter through the entire natural science teaching. More than fifty percent of those incapable cadets have grade lower than the 6th category on mathematics of SATT (Scholastic Aptitude Test in Taiwan). We suggested that the admissions requirements of ROCMA should be revised to meet the minimum 6th category criterion on mathematics of SATT. |
