中文摘要 | 電腦即社會成員典範主張個體與電腦的互動是社會性的,人們容易對電腦產生社會回饋。這典範在提升人們對電腦的參與和動機方面,提出了一個具有潛力的觀點。本研究基於電腦即社會成員典範,旨在瞭解語音回饋應用於以電腦為媒介的學習之互動設計,對國小學童在參與學習活動時對電腦的態度與學習動機的影響。本研究採用準實驗研究方法,利用新竹縣一國小五年級學生(40人)進行電腦輔助學習活動,使用社會吸引量表、情感滿意度量表、以及內在動機量表收集相關資料。資料以統計方法分析發現,語音的應用顯著提升兒童對電腦的社會吸引、情感滿意度、以及學習之內在動機。基於本研究結果建議在開發電腦為媒介的學習之互動設計時,提供語音回饋有助於電腦媒體之社會成員臨場感的呈現,有效地提昇學生參與電腦學習活動之學習經驗與動機。 |
英文摘要 | The paradigm that computers are social actors, asserts that individuals' interactions with computers are fundamentally social and social responses to computers are easily elicited. The paradigm shows potential for improving engagement and motivation. This study is based on the paradigm and aims to examine the effects of speech feedback in computer-mediated learning environment on student attitudes toward computers and learning motivation. A quasi-experimental methodology was adapted for this study. Forty fifth-grade students (N=40) participated in the study. Data was collected via questionnaires regarding their social attraction toward computers, emotional satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation, and then was analyzed by testing. Results show that speech feedback exhibited significant effects on student social attraction toward computers, emotional satisfaction, and intrinsic motivation. In veiw of these findings, it is suggested that the use of speech feedback can create the social presence of social actors in computer-mediated learning environment. This could lead to enhancing children's learning experience and increasing their motivation. |
