中文摘要 | 本論文以提昇化工專業學生對化學物質英文名詞的學習為研究主題;嘗試以英語構詞學的角度,彙整常用於化學物質詞彙中的詞根與詞綴,並以筆者任教技職體系科技大學化工系的二年級學生為教學對象,再以三年級學生為對照組,進行教學實證。從初期測驗的結果顯示受測學生雖學習化學多元,但在其專業能力上對化學物質英文名詞的認知仍是非常不足。而實證結果顯示經由系統的分析與歸納化學物質英文名詞之詞綴變化所代表的意義,是有助於提升受測學生對化學物質英文名詞之認知。 |
英文摘要 | The main theme of this research is to enhance chemical engineering background students studying chemicals terminology. With a view based on morphology, roots and affixes used frequently in English chemicals terms are collected and classified in this research. Two classes from the Chemical Engineering Department at a university of science and technology were selected as subjects. (Sophomore students served as a experimental group, while juniors served as a control group) The pre-test results showed that chemical engineering students in Taiwan's vocational education system were short of the knowledge of English chemicals terms though they might have learned Chemistry for several years. And the post test results demonstrated that by way of introducing systematic nomenclature of materials and the variation of affix in English chemicals terms had positive effects on teaching subjects' English chemicals terms. |
