英文摘要 | The objective of this study was to conduct the first incremental step toward optimal fishery management in Alaska BSAI king and Tanner crab Fisheries. they are red king crab in areas Q, R, and T, blue king crab in area Q, brown king crab in areas 0 and R, bairdi Tanner crab in areas 0 and Q, and opilio Tanner crab in area Q. The marginal contribution of vessel length was found to differ across vessel length categories, for most fisheries. Unfortunately, no simple statements like 'Bigger boats are technically more efficient than smaller boats' can be made. The marginal contribution of length on catch varies by fishery. Nonetheless, four species/areas have the highest marginal contribution of vessel length in the 140-149 foot class. This result suggests that crab fisheries management need to consider the influence of vessel characteristics. |
