中文摘要 | 關於「真實性」之觀念一直存在著許多爭議與疑問,在語言教學關於「真實性」之辯論中,常見「authentic教材」與「genuine」兩個名詞被交互運用,以代表種替英語為母語者所製作、產生之教材。本文旨在闡明此觀念,並對其於語言教學中之意義重新加以探討。本文首先從Widdowson,Phillips與Shettlesworth及Breen的不同觀點去討論此一觀念,進而對其如何應用於英語教學中加以探究,最後一部分為簡短之總結與建議。 |
英文摘要 | The fact that there exist different views concerning the notion of authenticity may often cause arguments and doubts among teachers. In much of recent debate on authenticity in language teaching, the word "authentic" is often used interchangeably with "genuine" to characterize the kind of texts produced for native speakers with a natural communicative purpose. This paper introduces briefly the notion of authenticity in terms and in the order of Widdowson, Phillips and Shettlesworth, and Breen. It also attempts to reconsider what authenticity might mean in a foreign language teaching context. Some important implications are provided with regard to the use of authentic materials in an English teaching setting. |
