中文摘要 | 臺灣省農業試驗所於1993年8月完成國家作物種原中心之興建並開始營運,該中心設備完善,設有長、中、短期種子庫。長期庫溫濕度條件為-12±2℃;30±3% R.H.,中期庫為1±2℃;40±3% R.H.,短期庫為10±2℃;40±3% R.H.。長期庫分為三間,每間可儲放八萬份種原,另於不同海拔高度設有七處無性繁殖作物保存園,以行異地保存。為加強作物種原保育工作之推展,成立臺灣省作物種原諮詢小組外,並整合有關農業試驗研究單位及學術機構形成一國家作物種原系統。在此系統下,依據各單位之育種工作及研究專精分別辦理種原之蒐集、繁殖及特性調查,以達分工合作之益。農試所於1960年起即辦理國際種子種苗交換,至目前為止每年平均引入653品種(系),輸出948品種(系)。自種原中心營運後,至今已入庫27,023品種(系),種原相關資料亦已電腦建檔,並可透過國際學術網路進行線上查詢。本中心將加強國際合作,互相交換種原材料及資料,期能成為亞熱帶及熱帶作物種源中心。 |
英文摘要 | Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute has established a National Plant Genetic Resources Center since 1993. The Center includes the long-term, the midium-term and the short-term storage rooms with storage condition of -12±2°C and 40±30% R.H., 12°C and 40±30% R.H., respectively, available for preserving orthodox type seeds. Storage capacity for the long-term room is 240,000 accessions in aluminum cans sealed under partial vacuum. There are seven repository sites for clonal germplasm at different elevations above sea level. For the strength of the acquisition, conservation and use of crop germplasm, a crop advisory committee of Taiwan province ad a national plant genetic resources system have been established. The plan calls for an amalgamation of existing capabilities of all agricultural research institutions with the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) playing a nuclear role. Under the system, TARI undertakes collaboration with research institutions and agricultural colleges in field collection, post-entry quarantine, conservation regeneration, documentation, dissemination and international cooperation. Since 1960, TARI had been engaged in international exchange of crop seed and seedling. The average number of introduced or collected varieties and number of distributed varieties is 653 and 948 respectively. Up to now, the Center had stored more than 27,023 accessions in its long-term, medium-term storage rooms of field repositories. In order to modernize and computerize the Center, an information system has also been completed. For interested researchers and breeders, this Center provides telephone access to search for genetic resources information. In the future, this Center will strengthen the international cooperation on germplasm collection and information exchange, and aim to become an international center for tropical and subtropical crops. |
