中文摘要 | 為因應全球化趨勢以提升學生語文能力,政府正計畫未來幾年任用1000位具有大學學位外籍教師,以輔助角色自國小到高中與本國籍英語教師在英語課程做協同教學。此雇用計畫已成爭執之問題。本文將探索是本國籍教師與外籍教師能否在同一課程中合作成功。本國籍教師對協同教學態度問卷調查是否可接受外籍教師在同一課程中協同教學。結果顯示該任用計畫可透過協同教學增強學生語文能力,但仍有些教師擔心該計畫實施會對其未來工作有影響。此研究建議教師在協同教學角色須明確訂定且薪資和角色須相等。如此,協同教學在團隊教學中有助於為教師訓練與教學專業。 |
英文摘要 | To upgrade Taiwanese students' English language proficiency skills in coping with the global trend, the Taiwanese Government has been planning to recruit more than 1000 native English speakers with B.A. degree as an auxiliary role to work together with Taiwanese English teachers in English classes from primary through secondary school in the next couple of years. The aim of this paper is to explore if Taiwanese English teachers and native English speakers can successfully cooperate with each other in the same classroom. A questionnaire of local English teachers' attitudes towards team teaching was conducted to pinpoint if it would be acceptable for Taiwanese English teachers to work together with native English speakers in the same classroom. The results indicate that this scheme could enhance students' language abilities through collaborative teaching but some of the local teachers felt if might have an effect on their future careers. This study suggests that it is crucial that their individual roles in the same classroom be clearly specified. It is also advisable that their salary system and mutual roles be equal. Team teaching then can be a professional support and training for teachers in teamwork. |
